The Madeira Interactive Technologies Institute (M-ITI), a not-for-profit innovation institution, which was created in the scope of the Carnegie Mellon Portugal Program in 2009, opened its new facilities on March 22, 2013. We are a research/educational partnership between several top-rated Portuguese universities, and the Carnegie Mellon University. Students in any of our masters or Ph.D. programs (http://www.cmuportugal.org) take courses from professors in both locations; upon graduation they receive dual degrees.
